Like always we had a wonderful Christmas. Arianna decided to come down from Georgia so it was even more special. Usually we go to my dad’s Christmas Eve and my mom’s Christmas Day but we changed it up a little this year. Instead of going to my dad’s on Christmas Eve we spent time with him the Saturday before Christmas. I actually enjoyed it better because I didn’t have to worry about getting up for work the next day. All of the kids chipped in to buy my dad a cruiser bike and he LOVED it! I also got to meet Maverick, my brother Tyler’s new puppy, and oh my goodness he is the cutest! My dad’s girlfriend & my grandma cooked some delicious food, we opened presents, and played some LRC. It was a lovely time. Of course we didn’t take any pictures of us together. I really need to get better at that!!
Christmas Eve we decided last minute to go spend the night at my mom’s so we could all wake up together like we used to. Tyler, Sunny, & Andi were also there. I don’t think we realized how much work it would be! We had to get the air mattress, blankets, pillows, all the presents, and our bags of clothes. It was totally worth it though. Christmas Eve we drank, played games, and put out the goodies for Santa. I think I got maybe 3 hours of sleep that night playing Santa with my brother. Christmas Day we woke up, made some mimosas, and watched Sunny & Arianna open their presents. Later that day my other brothers, grandma, and a couple of my uncles came over for dinner and more presents. I’d have to say my favorite part of Christmas was when Sunny went up to my mom asking if she had a present Sunny could give her daddy. Then she said “oh wait I need one for Rachel” (my brother’s girlfriend) and then said “oh wait one more for Tana.” I mean melt my heart!! I love this holiday and I love my family!!
